United Kingdom B2B solar procurement
Solar module procurement for the United Kingdom
Prepare buyer type, UK market, product, quantity and destination port. JUSTSOLAR then reviews the requested supply path, model evidence, import responsibilities and commercial scope before any formal offer or PI.

What is the UK solar procurement context?
The current Great Britain product guide covers England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland has separate market guidance and can follow different product-marking, customs and connection arrangements, so a generic UK label cannot replace the destination check.
The GB Distribution Code lists G98 and G99 as current engineering recommendations. Connection, MCS product evidence, UKCA or CE responsibilities, customs classification, EEE producer duties, project acceptance and commercial supply remain separate layers. No one document or company statement approves every layer.
United Kingdom RFQ: five details to provide
Product, quantity and destination are more useful than a message asking only for price.
- 01
Buyer type
Distributor, installer, agent, EPC, integrator or project buyer
- 02
Country
United Kingdom and the intended project, resale or onward-distribution market
- 03
Product
Module, OEM/private label, small module, cell or selected system component
- 04
Quantity
Pieces, container count, MW or a repeat purchasing forecast
- 05
Destination port
Named port or delivery place in the United Kingdom for the requested delivery basis
UK product, connection and importer review
Identify the legal market, product model, system route and responsible economic operators before relying on a certificate or supplier statement.
- State whether the destination and first placing-on-market route is Great Britain or Northern Ireland; do not reuse one regime without review.
- If MCS evidence is required, verify the exact model, certificate holder, manufacturing scope, standard version, status and product identity.
- Check which UKCA, CE, UKNI or other product rules apply to the exact product and which manufacturer, importer or distributor holds each responsibility.
- Treat G98 or G99 as a generating-system connection route involving the inverter or generating unit, site and DNO, not as module approval.
- Confirm the current commodity code, origin, valuation, duty, VAT, relief, restriction and declaration route through HMRC for the dated shipment.
- Identify the legal entity responsible for any EEE or WEEE registration, reporting, marking, records and supply-chain checks.
Project acceptance and commercial review
The buyer, installer, designer, network operator, importer and supplier do not share one automatic approval. Record each party and evidence owner.
- Provide project type, site location, AC capacity, proposed inverter or generating unit and the intended DNO connection route.
- Provide the exact module model, dimensions, mounting context and any project-specific structural, fire, electrical or environmental criteria.
- Treat SEG, tender, finance, installer and client requirements as separate eligibility checks. SEG applications go to a current licensee; none of these checks proves a JUSTSOLAR model or project is accepted.
- Request model-specific datasheet, label, certificate and report scope, installation information, warranty terms and order traceability for review.
- Name the destination port or delivery place, Incoterm, packing expectation, document scope and responsible customs party.
- Frank or the Director confirms fit, price, payment, warranty, delivery, offer and PI only after the request and evidence scope are reviewed.
Choose the requested supply path
Full-container modules
Review a container-scale request with the exact product, quantity, destination and document scope.
OEM and private label
Review nameplate, packaging, specification and quality-document requirements under NDA.
Small and custom modules
Provide dimensions, application, electrical target and expected quantity for review.
Solar cells
Provide the required cell format, technology, grade, quantity and application context.
Selected system components
Describe the inverter, storage or accessory specification so the requested supply scope can be reviewed.
JUSTSOLAR has Tier-1 OEM manufacturing experience under NDA. Customer and supplier names are not published. This statement does not imply a public BNEF listing, local product approval, grid connection, project award, stock position or commercial commitment.
United Kingdom solar procurement questions
Does JUSTSOLAR claim every module is MCS-certified for the UK?
No. MCS evidence is checked for the exact model, certificate holder, manufacturing scope, status and intended installation. Company capability or an IEC report does not prove an MCS listing.
Are G98 or G99 module certifications?
No. The GB Distribution Code lists G98 and G99 as engineering recommendations for the network process, not module certifications. The applicable connection route depends on the system, inverter or generating unit, capacity, site and network operator; it does not approve a module supplier.
Can a buyer assume CE or UKCA marking from a generic datasheet?
No. The responsible parties must identify the exact product, Great Britain or Northern Ireland market, applicable product rules, economic operator, conformity route, marking and supporting documents.
Who handles UK import and EEE or WEEE responsibilities?
The contract must identify the importer and the legal entity placing relevant products on the market. That party checks EORI, customs classification, declarations, product responsibilities and any producer-registration or reporting route.
Does this page publish a fixed UK tariff, price, delivery time or payment term?
No. Commodity treatment, tax, freight, insurance, destination obligations and commercial terms depend on the dated transaction. Frank or the Director confirms any price, payment, warranty, delivery, offer or PI in writing.
Official sources and scope
Sources were reviewed on 23 August 2026. They define public policy or standards context; they do not prove a JUSTSOLAR product approval, customer, project, inventory position, price, delivery time or order.
Prepare a reviewable United Kingdom request
Send buyer type, country, target product, quantity or MW or containers, and destination port. Frank or the Director reviews fit before any formal recommendation, price, payment term, warranty, delivery statement, offer or PI.
